Subsidy

The Nursery management committee has a small fund which enables us to award fee subsidies to parents on low incomes who are employed by, or are research students at, The Open University and who have children at the Nursery. The fund is currently supplied by a dedicated grant from the Open University but we cannot guarantee that this will always be the case. The scheme is means tested since the grant is limited. In 2000, the scheme was adjusted to fall directly in line with the Open University Pre School Child Care Subsidy Scheme and both schemes now offer the same level of subsidy. The subsidy will be deducted from the Nursery fees at source.
